"You can't go on 'seeing through' things forever. The whole point of seeing through something is to see something through it. It is good that the window should be transparent, because the street or garden beyond it is opaque. How if you saw through the garden too? It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is not the same as to see."- C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man
hmmmm...I confess that since I started trying to construct something...I have so much less time to deconstruct other things. I'm sure you could look at the church I'm a part of and find so many things wrong.

I feel the same way...
And notice I said "US" emerging church hipster types... when I post stuff like this I do so because it convicts me...

This convicts me for sure. It makes me think about the fact that as inventive and creative we'd like to think we are at times there is still nothing new under the sun. God's word is complete as is the Gospel. I guess what we can be mindful of and discover are ways to communicate his love and message clearly to new generations. However I still don't believe that this means we've invented some super cool secret gospel that no one knew about before us, it makes me think that we lost it along the way.
