John Vorvick is one of the coolest guys I know.

Everyone who knows Johnny wants to get Johnny married off. Johnny himself would like to get Johnny married off... but not in that desperate, take-anyone-who'll-have-me kind of way. In fact, if I have one complaint about Johnny (other than that since he moved to Washington we haven't seen enough of him at evergreen), it's that he's TOO picky. No Johnny, I don't want you to "lower your standards". I want you to find a great woman and settle down. He concurs.
And I digress...
The long and the short of it is Johnny has a date, over Labor Day weekend. In Orange County. It's a long (and extremely entertaining) story.
He sent me this email:
"Bob!
I'm going to orange county for Labor Day weekend!
I am going to spend $500 in hotel charges unless I can figure
something else out.
It's money that I would rather spend on her, but we're not at the
point of our relationship where I can say, "Yo, hook me up with family
or friends".
Schabel is looking into me staying with his in-laws, but they probably
won't be there that weekend.
I've looked into hostels, but they are all too far away in L.A. proper.
Do you have an in with someone down there that can put me on their floor for 4 nights?
How badly do you want me to get married?John"
So badly, Johnny. So badly.
Here's the deal. Johnny needs a place to stay in the OC (UPDATE: Johnny says "It would be good to add that she lives near the Days Inn in Costa Mesa (2100 Newport Blvd) and that she attends Rock Harbor.") He's clean, safe (I let him babysit Jack awhile back) and highly entertaining. Trust me when I say that allowing Johnny to sleep on your floor, couch or at the foot of your bed (okay, maybe not that last one) would be a good, Christianly thing to do that would truly help a brother out and trust me when I say you want to hear the story of how all this happened...
