Aye carumba...
This kind of "gotcha" stuff where people are racing to catch guys like Doug in whatever nitpicky disagreement they can is driving me absolutely nuts. Who plays like this? Apparently, the idea is that we can be total asses to people as long as they are emerging "heretics."
On the other side- I think it's imperative as we speak to know the audience we are speaking to and contextualize- that is speak in the terms and categories of the people to whom we are speaking- and to anticipate how our words might be used against us and speak so as to minimize occasions for that.
This one is even more painful...
