Event Wax is a free web-based service that allows event organizers to publish a hosted event website, accept payments online and manage attendee registration. Whether you are running a conference, workshop, or concert, Event Wax looks as though it can save you a lot of headaches.

Different levels/prices for tickets, RSS, invites and RSVPS, seems like they thought of everything you need and a few things you don't. Good thing it looks dead simple!

I have always threatened our people that if they didn't keep up the welcoming of visitors and all, I would make them wear name tags. This has been sufficiently horrific to keep the hands shaking and the introductions flowing. (Apologies if you are, in fact, a Name Tag Church!)

But whether you are a Name Tag Church or you'd just like your threat to be credible (or you have some other non-coercive use in mind) here's a handy app that will print name tags lickity-split.

Big.first.name is a free web app that makes printing bunches of name tags a breeze. Big.first.name supports importing name lists in plain text or CSV (comma separated value) format and prints the name tags to your local printer. Big.first.name can be formatted to print to any common paper size. It prints the name tags (as shown above) with the person's first name in a large easy-to-read font in the center of the tag with their full name in a smaller font below.
