ChurchMetrics.com is open for business... and free!

From LifeChurch.tv- a FREE service for your church community... I'm test-driving it now- I'll let you know what I think soon. In the meantime, check it out yourself...

Features

Enter a handful of numbers each week and ChurchMetrics.com shows you an easy-to-understand picture of what’s going on at your church. Keep an eye on patterns, make adjustments along the way, and stay on track with your mission as you lead your church.

  • Dashboard

The Dashboard shows you a quick overview of current data for attendance, salvations, baptisms and giving. You’ll see how your current numbers compare with the past week as well as last year, giving you the big picture of trends within your church. From the dashboard, you have access to the full functionality of the site, with tabs directing you to important features and administrative functions.

  • Charts

The Attendance History and Contributions History charts help you follow patterns at your church. By placing your cursor over a point on the graph, you’ll see the exact attendance number or contribution amount for that date. Use the date boxes below the chart to specify the time period you’d like to view.

  • Reports

In the reports section, you’ll find in-depth reporting on attendance, baptisms, salvations, and giving; along with weekly, monthly and YTD reporting. You can mine down in these reports to further explore trends within your church. And if you’d like to view the data in Excel format, you can use the export feature.

  • Mobile Ready

Get the latest data for your church, no matter where you are. Now, the most accurate information is in the palm of your hand. You can also input data from your campus in real time with the mobile uploading feature.

  • Multi-User & Multi-Campus

ChurchMetrics is scalable, whether you are a rural community church with one administrator and a few users, or a multi-site church with numerous campuses and users. This app will allow you to track multiple campuses efficiently and effectively, while also allowing remote input from multiple users.

Ash Wednesday Service...

Ours is below... where can we find yours? Tell us in the comments!

Ash Wednesday

Prayer Stations for use during the Gathering...

Station 1- The sin that so easily entangles
Large note pad, markers, art work

Q: What are you giving up for Lent- name it.

Why? Tell us.

Station 2-Ashes
S
ins written out on paper slips, three bowls of ashes

Instructions: Take some ashes and rub them between your fingers for a minute.

Mentally list the things you are tied to- your car, your house, your money...
The good and the bad.

If you have the courage, mentally list the things you hold on to that you would never tell anyone else.

List them all, and remind yourself that someday, they too, will be nothing more than ashes.

Leave the ashes on your hands until the last station...

Station 3- God's Word

Bowl of dirt, artwork of wilting flower juxtaposed with artwork of evergreen, Bibles open

Verbage:
A voice said, “Shout!”

I asked, “What should I shout?”
“Shout that people are like the grass.

Their beauty fades as quickly
as the flowers in a field.
The grass withers and the flowers fade
beneath the breath of the Lord.
And so it is with people.
The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever.” Isaiah chapter 40

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ.
Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials—gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.
-1 Corinthians chapter 3

Take a minute to consider what’s good in your life. What are you building that matters, that will survive. What character are you developing, what kingdom-kinds-of-things are you helping to pioneer, what are some of the ways (big and small) that you are building with “gold, silver and costly jewels”?
Maybe it’s not enough to give some things up?
Maybe there are some good things we can add in place of what we lay down.

Station 4- Water

3 bowls of water, towels

Instructions:

Read this passage from the book of James, and then stop for a minute to speak to God…

So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief.

Now wash your hands clean and think about this passage from the book of 1st John:
If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

You are forgiven…
