Out with the Old, In with the New (Lab)
So... we had our last sunday gathering at the Lab in Multnomah Village yesterday (unless, as I told Stephen, we (or I) totally blow chunks in the new location and the community shrinks back down to... uh...never mind). (this is how it looked a little more than a month into things...) It was a bittersweet time. I think I was totally distracted the whole morning... I wanted to cry, but I knew that would be kind of stupid. I wanted to talk more about the place itself and how we got there, but as I looked around the room, so very few people were even a part of the community then. I did end up telling about how we chose the space. Tim Schabel suggested it the night of Monday, Oct 27th when I told him, Johnny V, Stephen Black, and Bernard that I think I needed to plant a church and what did they think? I was thinking Tigard/Tualatin. Tim was way smarter...He said "Nah... The Lab in Multnomah Village." and we all looked at each other... and drank a toast to the Lab in the Village.
