So, yeah... The calendar is getting way full!
I'm noticing more and more days where there is more than one event we're invited to, weekends where Friday, Saturday, Sunday are all full...
It will be interesting to see how we handle this as a community- how we do this without becoming clique-ish?
We're still small enough that there's a semi-reasonable (which also means semi-unrealistic) possibility that everyone can be involved with everything. But we're just at the cusp of being large enough that enough different people are doing enough different things that we have to decide where we'll be, what we'll go to... and how we make sure to keep enough time/space in our lives for missional living with non-evergreen people as well.
My hope for our community is that we would consciously avoid segregating- that is, as events happen we'd make a concerted effort to always be getting out of our normal tracks and mixing it up. A lot happens at the community houses... a lot happens at the Goffs. I'd hate to see (not that we're doing this now, I'm just saying something before) us develop two tracks within the church and not see much cross pollination between them.
Thank you evergreen for being an amazing, wonderful community... thank you for caring about each other, and loving each other and taking care of and time for one another. May your tribe increase!
