Have you ever wondered why when the Gospels speak of Jesus preaching the Good News of the Kingdom and the disciples preaching the Good News of Jesus, the content of the message seems skimpy at best?
Something has finally clicked for me on why that is...
Stay tuned for the latest blockbuster book, The Lost, Secret, Hidden and Somewhat Disturbing Message of Jesus by R.W.Hyatt, Jr!
Okay, I'm kidding about that last part... but totally serious about the first. I need to think about this some more, but I'll post it eventually.
I too ahve had these thoughts. If Jesus preached the Kingdom of God then should we and if so what is it? Did I miss it all these years reading though the bible? Good to hear someone else with these same thoughts.

I think when Jesus preached he said a lot more than we have recorded by the witnesses and gospel writers, why did they do this?
One reason might be that we would have a bible 6kms wide and we would try to obey every rule...maybe Jesus and the writers wanted us to get the 'kingdom groove' and go and do it?
I have found that the words christianity and church (as denominational structures) have dropped from my vocab, its nearly always 'kingdom' thinking now, and I tell you what, it blows away all your presuppositions. The strange this is I have been to conferences where the whole weekend was about the Kingdom - but it was as if it was a subsection of Christianity, like a part of teaching you needed to get to fill up your knowledge - just like Trinity or Salvation, like it is a doctrinal point...I have to stop for I can see just how deep the rabbit hole goes
