Letter to "us" from Andrew Jones Most of the New Testament is letters... We call them "epistles" but that's just a fancy word for a letter from one Christian who, because of gifts, calling, and wisdom had earned a place of authority and respect in the early church- apostles. (Yes... apostles wrote epistles) They would write letters to churches, those letters would be read, discussed, passed around. Some were recognized as having a special inspiration- that in a way different than the other letters, these particular ones were God speaking through someone to His Church. Those were recognized as Scripture and eventually included in the collection of books we call the New Testament. Here's an "apostolic" letter from someone some of you know, some don't... Andrew Jones. He has wisdom, and while it ain't Scripture, I think God uses people like Andrew to tell us things... So, read it please. What he has to say is relevant and wise for our little pub church.... and maybe for your church as well. what i would say to the young american emerging churches what would i probably say to young (north) american emerging churches? in this present climate of constant criticism? maybe i am scribbling this more to...
