Some books I've received for review recently, haven't quite gotten to yet but wanted to make sure I mention...
I actually started Divine Nobodies: Shedding Religion to Find God (and the unlikely people who help you) and was really enjoying it before I got sidetracked... if you are a fan of Donald Miller, I think you should check this one out...
Others-
Furious Pursuit: Why God Will Never Let You Go
Scot McKnight blurbed on this thusly: "“The message of this book can’t be stated often enough: God loves us. Oh yes, he does. Furious Pursuit shows us that God’s love is active and vibrant and on the chase for you and me. Others have said this before, but Furious Pursuit takes us one step further.”
Bring Your Vision to Life: The Guide to Turning "What If?" into Reality
From the Amazon description:"Have you been postponing your passions for a life of reasonable routine? Do you dream of something greater for yourself and others? Are you tired of ending another day knowing that you were meant for something better? Whether small or large, your dreams can begin today. That's the premise of Bring Your Vision to Life. This book will help you explore your recurring wishes of how things could be that, if fulfilled, would make a significant difference in your life and the lives of others. It takes you on a twenty-five day journey through the concrete process of identifying, managing, and achieving a vision. Bring Your Vision to Life asks the question, "what is your vision?" knowing that if you can narrow your deepest God-given desires down to their essence, and plan for their realization, you can bring them to life"
Living Spirituality: Illuminating the Path
From the Amazon Desciption: "At a time when the subject of spirituality means everything, yet nothing, Dr. Gregory J. Laughery offers us a deeply insightful and profound theological meditation that aims to illuminate and clarify the truly spiritual life. Challenging us to think seriously about our orientations towards life or towards death, Laughery perceptively relocates spirituality on the map of Scripture and leads us through it on the journey to our destiny. This bold and thought provoking book will capture our souls, confront our preconceived ideas, and direct our lives to the core of living spirituality."
I really love Furious Pursuit. I'd put it right at the top of you "must read list." I've see Divine Nobodies, but haven;t read it yet. There's so much good stuff to be read.
