A Friday around the room of people/places who dug/took issue with bob.blog recently (wherein bob shamelessly links to others who have linked to/mentioned him...uh, all in an effort to gin up some technorati points)...
John Smulo liked the discussion on legalism within the Southern Baptist Convention, re. their position of forbidding certain people from drinking alcohol. Particularly good is his re-wording of their motion... showing the inherent silliness of it.
Here's someone who was looking for something entirely different, but stumbled on the discussion of Doug Pagitt's interview by Ingrid Schleuter and found it interesting nonetheless.
Curtis was intrigued by the difference in American and European perspectives on the issue of alcohol/the SBC
MShed thought I was missing the point with the SBC thing. Probably, probably... Though I'm still not sure from his blog entry as to why... :)
Helen also thought (at length!) that I was missing the point, and said so in "Using the Bible to Excuse Selfishness." Man, I hate it when I do that!
Rich hit on the tiered spirituality issue inherent in the alcohol debate and asks: "Why did Jesus not refrain from drinking alcohol if it is an obvious "stumbling block" to our "weaker brothers"? Surely all the bad stuff that comes along with alcohol and its abuse was around in the first century as well..."
The Emersion Books blog picked up my review of Joe Myers awesome Organic Community: Creating a Place Where People Naturally Connect
As did Joe Myer's own blog!
Eric was thankful I pointed him towards Chris Sower's recent Gospel conversation
And finally, Matt and/or Ryan took slight issue with my recent schadenfreude over the thought of Paris Hilton spending some time in the slammer. Honestly, guys... I really think it might be best for everyone involved !
Bob thanks for the mention - have a great weekend :)

Thanks for the link!
That probably explains the unusual spike in hits to my blog! I was wondering what that was about...
ha ha :)
