Bringing sexy back... Sorry things have been so quiet here on the bob.blog the last few days. It's been kind of crazy... Last week I was in the middle of preparing and preaching a two week series on Sex. Really, really crazy topic to try to navigate in two weeks when you have everyone in your community from chaste singles to sexually active singles to sexually active married people to, uh... chaste married people. Interestingly enough- we've never had a single complaint from the pub we meet in until this week (other than a candle wax thing early on, but that happens to all emerging churches, right? Just part of the territory?) But this week, I think one of the pub employees (who are there during our gathering, prepping food for their 12noon opening) didn't dig what I had to say about sex and complained to the manager, who passed it on to the owner... who called me. He didn't quite seem to know how to broach the subject. I could tell it was one of those things where he had said "I'll talk to them about it" and just needed the conversation to happen. Apparently there were two things- abortion and homosexuality....
