Back up and running... Thanks for all the sympathy folks... It's not universal (can you believe how jerky some people are??), but then again, "Whoever gloats over disaster will not go unpunished." That's in the Bible, you know... :) All is well- God has amazingly blessed some side stuff I've been doing for about a year now- In fact, these last two months have been pretty phenomenal. It's allowed me to give a good amount to evergreen, back into our household budget, pay extra on our student loans, etc as well as do some good things for others. So, while it kind of sucks to utterly destroy such a nice machine through carelessness, it's pure grace that none of my data was lost (already up and running! Applications, documents, settings- absolutely amazing. All from a back up last week and all in half an hour. I love Macs), and since things have been going so well on the money thing, I felt okay about picking up another MacBook this morning (CompUSA going-out-of-bidness-sale... close to 20% off! That's $100 less than even the Apple "educational discount"... plus they are even selling the AppleCare at 40% off). My goal is to have enough put away in...
